Plain-language definitions for the manufacturing, packaging and export terms used across this site, useful whether you are new to the industry or scoping a first order.

Contract Manufacturing: Full-scale cigarette production run on our lines under a client’s own brand. We handle blending, making, packing and finishing; the client owns the brand and the market.
Private Label: A cigarette brand built for a specific client, using their own name, blend and packaging, manufactured under a supply arrangement rather than owned by a single factory.
White Label: A ready-made cigarette product a distributor can brand as their own, letting a buyer bring a product to market quickly without commissioning a custom blend or pack design.
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer): In tobacco manufacturing, an OEM produces cigarettes to another company’s specification and brand, similar in practice to contract or private label manufacturing.
Tobacco Blending: Developing and preparing the tobacco mix, strength, aroma and character that gives a cigarette its taste profile, tuned to a target market or brand specification.
Rod: The cylindrical tobacco column wrapped in paper that forms the smokeable body of a cigarette, joined to the filter at the tipping stage.
King Size (84mm): The most common cigarette length worldwide, roughly 84mm overall, balancing a full draw with an even, steady burn.
100s: A longer cigarette format, roughly 100mm overall, giving a slower, longer smoking session than King Size.
Slim / Super Slim: Narrower-diameter cigarette formats than King Size, offering a lighter draw; Super Slim is the more slender of the two.
Nano: The most compact cigarette diameter in general production, a discreet, easy-to-carry format.
Recessed Filter: A filter set slightly back from the mouth end of the cigarette, a common finishing option across formats.
Firm-Tip Filter: A filter finished with a firmer mouth end, used across several of our size and brand ranges.
Charcoal Filter: A filter incorporating activated charcoal, offered as an option on select formats.
Ventilation (Filter Ventilation): Small perforations in the filter or tipping paper that let air mix with the smoke, affecting draw and delivery; checked as part of in-line quality control.
Hard Pack / Soft Pack / Slide Box: The three common cigarette pack formats we produce: a rigid hinge-lid hard pack, a flexible soft cup pack, and a slide box (sliding inner tray) format.
Tipping Paper: The paper that wraps and joins the filter to the tobacco rod, often printed with brand detail.
Tar and Nicotine Declaration: The measured tar and nicotine values a market requires to be printed on cigarette packaging, confirmed per destination market during pre-production.
Tax Stamp: An excise duty stamp required by many destination markets, positioned on the pack according to that market’s regulations.
Full-Container-Load (FCL): A shipment that fills a full shipping container on its own, the typical order size our production and export programmes are planned around.
Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ): The smallest order volume we can produce for a given format and packaging combination, confirmed per programme rather than fixed sitewide.
Export Documentation: The paperwork that supports customs clearance and import registration in a destination market, prepared from our end alongside each shipment.
Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA): The free-trade zone in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where our manufacturing facility is based, adjacent to Jebel Ali Port.
